Why is Cemented Carbide non-magnetic?
In order to make Cemented Carbide non-magnetic, Cemented Carbide is made with Nickel as a binder (Cemented Carbide is usually made with Cobalt as a binder, which would make the carbide magnetic).

Non-magnetic Cemented Carbide Grade Selection
There is no ‘best’ grade of cemented carbide; rather, the most suitable grade depends on the specific application. Hardness is not inherently ‘good’ or ‘bad’ in terms of wear resistance, machining difficulty, and avoidance of cracking during use; rather,it is a matter of balance.
