The full name of Tungsten carbide EDM Blocks is Electrical Discharge Machining Block, we also call it Stamping Tool Blanks
It is a carbide composite material manufactured from tungsten carbide.
Carbide EDM block is mainly used in punches, dies, inserts, buttons, etc. of metalforming and stampi per stampaggio.
The most widely used are progressive stampo per stampaggio parti.
It is also used in the manufacture of utensili da taglio, forming tools, powder metallurgy molds, wear-resistant parts, and more.
The manufacturing process of cemented carbide is complicated. Production process: raw material mixing – pressing – sintering – stress relief – grinding and so on.
In order to shorten the manufacturing cycle of stampi per stampaggio, electric discharge machining carbide blocks can be used to quickly manufacture the parts required by stampi per stampaggio. This increases efficiency while ensuring that the stamped die parts are machined with high precision.
Carbide EDM block has many gradi according to the metal material and material thickness to be stamped. They need to have good corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance. Because electric discharge machining will cause corrosion, high-speed stamping will have impact, and millions of stampings require good wear resistance (The cutting edge is ground once, which can punch 1.5-2 million, with a total of 150-200 million).
What gradi does Tungsten Carbide EDM Block have?
Please refer to Yatech Materials Tungsten Carbide EDM Block gradi We have developed cemented carbides suitable for different stamping conditions through advanced material technology.
