The full name of Tungsten carbide EDM Blocks is Electrical Discharge Machining Block, we also call it Stamping Tool Blanks
It is a carbide composite material manufactured from tungsten carbide.
Carbide EDM block is mainly used in punches, dies, inserts, buttons, etc. of metalforming and troqueles de estampación.
The most widely used are progressive troquel estampado partes.
It is also used in the manufacture of herramientas de corte, forming tools, powder metallurgy molds, wear-resistant parts, and more.
The manufacturing process of cemented carbide is complicated. Production process: raw material mixing – pressing – sintering – stress relief – grinding and so on.
In order to shorten the manufacturing cycle of troqueles de estampación, electric discharge machining carbide blocks can be used to quickly manufacture the parts required by troqueles de estampación. This increases efficiency while ensuring that the stamped die parts are machined with high precision.
Carbide EDM block has many Los grados according to the metal material and material thickness to be stamped. They need to have good corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance. Because electric discharge machining will cause corrosion, high-speed stamping will have impact, and millions of stampings require good wear resistance (The cutting edge is ground once, which can punch 1.5-2 million, with a total of 150-200 million).
What Los grados does Tungsten Carbide EDM Block have?
